Chigozie Nebo, AB Microfinance Bank Nigeria

I chose AB Bank because I know it has continuity… They know your needs and the more you grow the more you get what you want.

Chigozie says: “My business started like a play”: Following the restless life of selling clothes in the streets with no fixed home and outside his own country, Chigozie decided it was time to get settled. For years, he had been dreaming of setting up a container shop, selling engine and heavy machinery spare parts. In 2011 he finally made the move: His money was just enough to acquire the container; however, he had no money left to stock up.

AB Microfinance Bank was willing to support his business with a first loan of 250,000 Niara. This was 10 years ago in 2011. Today, he has an outstanding loan of 3 million Niara with AB Bank and owns three bustling shops and two warehouses.

“I chose AB Bank because I know it has continuity. When you do well, you jump one step and then another and another. They know your needs and the more you grow the more you get what you want.”

Through constant reinvestment and good inventory management, he has been able to timely support many companies with spare parts thereby maintaining their operationality. Even throughout the COVID crisis, he continuously supplied his clients with essential material.

Each year, Chigozie invests into property: he buys land on which he builds. The rental income already generates productive cashflow and is an investment for his old age and his four children’s future. Chigozie calls AB Bank “the source of his wealth.”
